Frequently asked questions
Credentials, aircraft, coverage, turnaround and deliverables: the questions utility and renewable buyers ask most.
What types of energy infrastructure do you inspect?
Wind turbine blades and towers, utility-scale solar, transmission and distribution lines, substations, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Are your pilots FAA certified?
Yes. All flights are operated under FAA Part 107 by a certified remote pilot, with airspace authorizations obtained where required.
Are you insured and ISNetworld registered?
Yes. Drone Force carries $2M in liability coverage, with a certificate of insurance available on request, and is registered with ISNetworld.
What drones do you use?
Enterprise-grade inspection drones with high-resolution zoom and radiometric thermal cameras. We update our fleet as technology improves, so every project gets current, inspection-grade sensors.
How fast do I get my report?
Typical report delivery is 24–72 hours after field work is complete, depending on scope.
How long does a wind turbine blade inspection take?
About 18–25 minutes per turbine for a complete three-blade inspection.
How much transmission line can you cover in a day?
Typically 15–20 line miles per day, depending on terrain, access and structure density.
How much solar can you inspect in a day?
Up to about 100 MW per day, depending on site layout and conditions.
Where do you work?
We are based in Friona, Texas, and mobilize to projects in all 50 states.
What do deliverables include?
An executive summary, annotated visual and thermal imagery, asset-level GPS coordinates, KMZ / KML files, severity-ranked findings and recommended actions, delivered through our customer portal and report package.
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote form, call 806-987-5655, or email us with your asset type, count or size, location and timeline.
