Substation Inspections: common questions
Can a drone fly inside an energized substation?
Flights are planned with the owner’s safety rules, clearances and site access requirements. Many surveys are flown from outside the fence line; any interior work follows the site’s procedures and JSA.
What does a substation thermal report include?
Thermal and visual image pairs for each flagged component, spot temperatures, severity, observation and recommended action.
