FAQ

Wind Turbine Blade Inspections: common questions

How long does a drone blade inspection take?

A complete three-blade inspection typically takes about 18–25 minutes per turbine once the turbine is locked out and positioned, so a crew can cover a meaningful portion of a site in one day.

Does the turbine need to be stopped?

Yes. For close-range blade imaging the rotor is stopped and positioned per the site’s procedures. We coordinate lockout and blade positioning with your site team during planning.

What do I receive after a blade inspection?

Annotated imagery for every finding, located by turbine, blade, side and radius, with a severity rating, plus an executive summary and site-level files. Reports are typically delivered in 24–72 hours.

Which aircraft do you fly?

Enterprise-grade inspection drones with high-resolution zoom and radiometric thermal cameras, operated under FAA Part 107.
